Don't you wish that you had said it first..

Nobody goes there anymore because it is too crowded..

If you come to a fork in the road, take it..

It’s like déjà vu all over again..

If the people don’t want to come out to the park, nobody’s going to stop them..

You can observe a lot by watching him..

If you can’t imitate, you can’t copy him..

A nickel ain’t worth a dime any more..

Something I do on ocasion is to tack the word 'enough' on the end when asked if I think that something is either too large or too small, as in 'too small enough'.. sometimes, it takes almost two minutes for a person to realize exactly what was said.. :)

I am trying to figure what the hanged man means by his comment, does he give private consultations? Would sure like to meet him. DL

At least you asked. Most people only hear and see what they want to hear and see.

Many times, you can make statements, say stuff, and you just know that it goes into one ear and straight out of the other side. By adding a simple word, you can, for the most part, determine if somebody has listened and processed what was said.

A good test is to talk to somebody, and then as you turn away, say something under your breath like 'un bocadillo con chesa por favor'. In all probability, you will not be heard purely on the basis that the person to whom you were talking did not expect that particular response or any that sounded like it. So, say under your breath 'what an idiot', and all of a sudden, their hearing improves, and you are asked what you meant by it.

C'est la guerre..
